III.    Student Senate Report-

a.       Diabetes Walk at Lions Lake in Washington (8AM-11AM) - April 18. PTK is putting together a team. If you are interested, go to www.chideltamo.com  and click on “Step Out” icon at the bottom of the page. Team name is Phi Theta Kappa.

b.      Falcon Fest- April 22 from 10-2. We will have a booth set up. We need volunteers to sit at the table. We will be selling PTK T-Shirts and Candles.

IV.    Old Business

a.       T-shirt sales- order has been placed. The shirts have been ordered with a few extra of each size expected to come in.  A second order can be done before school ends if enough are on the order. They should be here before Falcon Fest next Wednesday. If you have ordered a shirt, make sure to stop by our table at the Falcon Fest and pick up your shirt. The prices: short sleeved - $10, long sleeved - $12.

b.      New Induction ceremony was on April 3rd. Hope everyone enjoyed it!

V.      New Business

a.       New officer Elections are today – Heather Ottinger for President, Olga Zaharova for Vice President, Angela Vincent for Public Relations Secretary, Stephanie Baumgarth for Recording and Finance Secretary, Becky Riegel for Chapter Programs Secretary.

b.      Candle Fundraiser. If you are interested in selling them or buying one, please pick an order form from me. They are due back to Kevin NO LATER THAN APRIL 28.

c.      Graduation is Thursday, May 21. If you are graduating at the end of this semester and are interested in buying any of the following - a tassel ($10), stole ($18), honors cords ($13), or key medallion ($22), let Kevin Dixon know ASAP at kdixon@eastcentral.edu

d.      Roadsigns about Keep America Beautiful - campus driveway. Angela has ideas for signs. If you have any questions or comments or would like to help, please contact her at acvincent@eastcentral.edu

e.      Bulletin board display about recycling.  We will put the info together today and display it in the lobby of the HS Building.

f.         A play: “Broadway and Beyond” on May 8-10. Need ushers. Anyone interested in helping?

g.       International Convention this week in Texas from April 16-18. Hope our members will bring awards back!

h.      April 18- Diabetes walk at Lion’s Lake in Washington from 8AM-11AM. Event itself starts at 9 and gets over when everyone decides to leave (usually around 11).

i.        April 21 at 2PM- Earth Day Roadside cleanup of Highway 50 out in front of the college. Anyone interested in helping, this will count as a Service project toward your 5-star.

j.        Friday April 17 at 7PM- Trivia Night in RTC ( Training Center). We have everything set up. We need a few volunteers to help the night of the event by setting up, asking the questions, and grading the teams. We are putting one team for PTK members, so you are welcome to join us. Bring your friends and family. It is $10 each and up to 10 people per team. If anyone has a team, please contact Kevin at kdixon@eastcentral.edu .  If you have any questions or comments about this event please email me at               akula-olya@hotmail.com or just show up at the event itself!

k.       Relay for Life BBQ at RTC- Sat. May 2- Jeff Crider (one of our members) is in charge of this event. There will be a BBQ and possibly a dance contest or karaoke. There is also going to be a rummage sale. If you have any questions, would like to help, or would like to join the Relay team, please contact Jeff at marachef@consultant.com

l.        Ushers are needed to hand out programs at graduation on May 21.  Please let Kevin know if you are able to be an usher.

m.    Next members meeting May 7th at 12 and 5 in MP 203.

Other possible projects planned:

n.      Operation Clean Stream – First or Second weekend of August.  Watch for an e-mail over the summer.
